About me

Hi, I’m Bec, or sometimes Becs. My cat, The Mog, and I share a place in Australia where I like to read, write, travel, go to the theatre. She likes to eat, sleep, lie in the sun, eat.

I have always loved writing and in 2011 I decided to stop talking about it and start doing it. This blog is intended to inspire my writing as well as be a place for me to practice said skills.

I’m afraid there’s no strict theme to these posts, they tend to jump around from talking about my writing and my ponderings about my writing (and others’), to reading, to the 100 blog theme challenge I started but which sort of just sits on the backburner now until I need inspiration. Then there are the weekly captures when I’m really stuck for something to write about.

So, in the words of the great Bette Davis, a la Margo in ‘All About Eve’:

Fasten your seatbelts, it’s going to be a bumpy night!

      Hi Sheila

I wish I could claim credit for the photo but it was part of the template – it is lovely though, very inspiring.

Thanks for the offer to read stuff for me – my writing is still in the, shall we say, pregnancy stages – I may ask to bounce ideas off you though, if that’s okay. I am going to try to blog a bit more to experiment with style and just to try and force myself to write a bit more. And of course, if you need someone to read anything, let me know!

      Thanks for checking in :)
      Becs
